In the last installment of Diane’s Diary, I shared the experience of filming Heather the MFT working in concert with Moby. (And perhaps you have already watched the short film!)

As a reminder, this blog goes back to when I was first filming the mini-docs but I hadn’t actually released anything yet in early 2020. What I needed next was a new website and logo

and everything that goes with it. I found a wonderful website designer who spent a lot of time asking me questions so that my intentions and the heart of the business would be reflected in the site. The website is easy to navigate, looks nice and for the most part, does what I need it to do. I was also still in grad school and we had worked on our values and they fit nicely into the home page of the site. They are the We Believe statements.

With the website done and new branding for the film business (as opposed to my book's business,) it was time to get the films ready to release. If you recall, the first film we filmed was at a college but there was potentially a legal reason why I couldn’t release it yet. So, we finished editing the LAX PUP program mini and- decided that it would be first to launch.

We put the finishing touches on LAX PUP video, added a logo to the end, made sure I purchased the licensed music and created a credit roll. I know that many short videos online don’t credit the team but a) I had no idea if I would ever make another one and everyone who had worked on it had worked hard, so they may as well get recognized and b) I am viewing these films as mini-documentaries, not just videos so they should look like a documentary!

Releasing my first mini-doc about the LAX PUP program into the world was a lot of fun. If you haven’t watched it yet, you can find it here: https://www.animalmagicfilms.com/our-films

(Scroll down to the third one down and enjoy!)
